THE MOORWOOD SUITE

The Moorwood Suite is our largest function room, perfect for parties where guests want to dance the night away. With private bar, PA and sound system, toilets and large outdoor terrace, it can comfortably host up to 140 guests.

THE WINGFIELD LOUNGE

The Wingfield Lounge is a cosy suite perfect for intimate parties and celebrations. Complete with a private bar, PA and sound system, toilets and adjacent outdoor area for your guests, it can comfortably host up to 50 guests.

Questions

What types of events can be hosted at the venue?

Our spaces are designed to accommodate a wide range of events including weddings, corporate meetings, conferences, parties, fundraisers, and private gatherings.

What catering and bar options do you offer?

All our catering and bar services are provided in-house, ensuring consistently high quality and seamless service throughout your event. We offer a wide range of options, from buffets and three-course meals to BBQs, pizza ovens and drinks packages, creatively served to keep the celebrations flowing. Please note no external catering or drinks are permitted (except for celebration cakes or alternatives).

Is accommodation available for guests?

When you book your event with us, if required you will be able to book a variety of rooms from standard boutique rooms to superior suites (subject to availability) which all include breakfast the next day for a discounted rate. If you require further accommodation outside our 17 rooms, our sister venue, The Horse & Jockey (DE55 6DW), located just 5 minutes away, offers additional rooms.

Please note certain celebration rooms include a complimentary room.

Is the venue accessible for guests with disabilities?

All of our function rooms are located on one level and have accessible entrances, toilets and parking. However, please note that our accommodation is situated on the first floor and due to the age and character of the building, there is not lift access. Guest bedrooms are only accessible via a flight of stairs.

Is parking available?

We provide ample complimentary on-site parking for all guests, along with a larger overflow car park to accommodate larger events. For electric vehicles, we offer three charging points, available for a small additional fee. If you wish to use one, please let us know upon arrival.
