Tie The Knot

From start to finish you can hold your wedding at The White Hart. We are licensed for civil ceremonies and over the years hundreds of wonderful couples have said ‘I Do’ with us. You can tie the knot in The Moorwood Suite or exchange vows in the light and beautiful Orangery whilst enjoying the peaceful surroundings. And from Spring 2026 you can host your ceremony outdoors in our beautiful grounds.

The Celebrations

Our wedding food and drink offerings are designed to delight every guest. From elegant canapes and three-course wedding breakfasts to pizza ovens, BBQs and more, we cater to every style of celebration. Complementing this, we oUer a wider selection of drink packages for every season, served creatively to keep the drinks flowing from your first toast to the last dance.

Rest & Relax

From our luxurious pre-bridal suites to the prestigious honeymoon suite, relax and unwind in comfort on your special day. Start your wedding morning in style then retire to a serene, elegant space after the celebration. With 14 beautifully styled boutique rooms available, your nearest and dearest can also stay the night, allowing everyone to enjoy the day to the fullest and continue the celebrations without having to leave.

Is accommodation available for the wedding couple and guests?

When you book your wedding with us, we automatically reserve our two pre-bridal suites for the night before and 14 guest bedrooms for the night of your wedding. You can decide later whether you wish to use these rooms (please note they are charged at a discounted rate for the couple and their guests).

The Honeymoon Suite is included complimentary on your wedding night and is automatically reserved once you confirm your date.

Some of our wedding packages also include pre-bridal suites at no additional cost.

If you require more rooms for your guests, our sister venue, The Horse & Jockey (DE55 6DW), located just 5 minutes away, offers and additional 14 bedrooms to book, subject to availability.

Can we host our civil ceremony with you?

The White Hart is fully licensed to host civil ceremonies. Couples can choose from The Moorwood Suite (up to 100 guests), The Orangery (up to 70 guests) or from Spring 2026, host their ceremony outdoors in our beautiful grounds.

Please note, it is the couple’s responsibility to contact the registrars to arrange their ceremony.

We recommend checking your preferred date with us first, then confirming availability with our local registrars, Amber Valley, to ensure they can conduct your ceremony.

Are you pet/animal friendly?

Yes! Many past couples have been joined by an array of furry friends, including dogs, horses and even alpacas. Speak to our wedding coordinators to discuss how your four-legged pals can be part of your special day.

Please note, for the comfort of all our guests, pets are not permitted in our rooms.

How many people can we invite?

Ceremonies can be hosted in the Moorwood Suite for up to 100 guests or in the Orangery for more intimate celebrations for up to 70 guests. The wedding breakfast in the Moorwood Suite can accommodate up to 120 guests, while your evening celebrations can welcome up to 200 friends and family.

What catering and bar options do you offer?

All our catering and bar services are provided in-house, ensuring consistently high quality and seamless service throughout your wedding day. We offer a wide range of options, from canapes and three-course meals to BBQs, pizza ovens and seasonal drinks packages, creatively served to keep the celebrations flowing. Please note no external catering or drinks are permitted (except for wedding cakes or alternatives).
